First, we had “Black Friday.” Then came “Cyber Monday.” Now, in its fourth year, we have #GivingTuesday!
It’s a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
Cure Violence supports this philanthropic initiative. As we seek to spread the message of our enormously effective health approach to violence prevention, we look to you for help. You have significant influence with your friends and network. By making a donation to Cure Violence on #GivingTuesday, December 1st, and sharing the various Facebook messages we will be posting on this day to all of your social media pages, we can increase Cure Violence’s reach to save more lives and transform more communities in need.
To make a fully tax-deductible gift, click HERE and hit the “Donate Now” button. Then, on December 1st, share the posts you’ll see on our Facebook page and ask your many friends and family to join you with a #GivingTuesday donation to Cure Violence!
