Webinar: How to Start a Cure Violence Program

If you have ever wondered what was needed to start a Cure Violence program in you city, we have some answers for you. On Thursday, August 17 at 2pm EST we will be hosting a webinar to explain the first steps in starting a Cure Violence program. This will include detailing the partnerships that are needed to start the program, how to start to get funding, and how to assess the needs of your city.
The webinar will be conducted by Lori Toscano, Director of National Programs for Cure Violence. Lori Toscano has been working in the field of violence prevention for almost 20 years. Prior to joining Cure Violence, she directed the Safe Streets Baltimore program for the Baltimore City Health Department’s Office of Youth Violence Prevention. Baltimore’s Safe Streets program has been nationally recognized for its success in reducing and preventing violence in four of Baltimore’s highest risk neighborhoods.
