Cure Violence was named among Global Journal’s Top 100 NGOs for the second consecutive year rated #9 for 2013. The Global Journal released its annual Top 100 NGOs special issue last week January 23. The only international ranking of its kind shines a spotlight on “dynamic, innovative and inspiring” NGOs and is used to inform policy-makers, businesses, academics and non-profit leaders.
“While everyone benefits from the work of NGOs their efforts often go under the radar,” explained Dr. Gary Slutkin, Founder and Executive Director of Cure Violence, “this list brings much needed attention to this sector.”
Cure Violence also moved up from a ranking of 30thin 2012 to its current position in a year when evaluation methodology for inclusion was far more rigorous. A pool of 450 NGOs were considered based on their impact, innovation and sustainability in a variety of areas.
